MICKEY ROONEY and his wife Jan dropped in at the book party for THE GOLDEN FLAME, written by Gabriel Murray and published by Ailesbury Publications, Ltd.
The couple were on their way to do their nightly show at the Irish Repertory Theater. It is a song and dance routine about their lives. Their son Chris says the entertainment keeps his Father young and alive and very energized "Dad just loves to entertain", he told me.
The party was all Irish since the publisher lives in Ireland - champagne and Irish salmon treats.
The book will be out to the public soon - it is filled with photos and vignettes about the history of the Olympics - be sure to get a copy.

Another preview I saw was the musical - A TALE OF TWO CITIES. It is produced by Russell/Sharpe Productions; the associate producer is David M. Bryand and the writer is Jill Santoriello, the composer is Edward B. Kessel. It was a staged reading with full orchestra and the voices were absolutely magnificent. There was a standing ovation for the cast - something I have only seen once before for Carol Channing in HELLO DOLLY. So - angels - if you are looking for something to invest in, this is it. It is going to be a smash hit on Broadway when it gts there after previews etc.
Be sure to see it early.
